Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, plus a small amount generated automatically when you use the site.

• Contact and delivery details you enter at checkout: your name, email address, phone number, and full shipping address.
• Account information if you register: your email address and a password, which is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
• Order history, including the products you bought, amounts paid, payment method, and loyalty point balance.
• Support correspondence you send us through the contact form or live chat.
• Newsletter subscription status, if you opt in.
• Basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type, used for security, fraud prevention, and aggregate performance measurement.

How we use it

We use your information for these purposes and no others.

• Processing and delivering your order, including buying a carrier shipping label.
• Sending transactional email: order confirmation, payment reminders, shipping and delivery notices, and review requests.
• Maintaining your account, order history, and loyalty point balance.
• Answering support requests.
• Preventing fraud and abuse, and meeting our record-keeping obligations.
• Sending marketing email, only if you opted in, and only until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

Nuforme uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies, and there are no cross-site tracking pixels or social media trackers on this site.

• pv_cart — links your browser to a guest shopping cart.
• pv_shipping_quote and pv_shipping_selection — hold your signed shipping quote so the price cannot be tampered with between checkout steps.
• pv_discount — remembers an applied promotional code.
• pv_checkout_receipt — lets the confirmation page show your order once after checkout.
• pv_age_verified — records that you confirmed you meet our eligibility requirements.
• pv_signup_fp — a signup abuse check.
• Authentication cookies set by Supabase, which keep you signed in.

Payment information

Nuforme does not collect or store credit card numbers, because we do not accept cards. An Interac e-Transfer is sent through your own bank, and we see only what your bank includes with the transfer. A Bitcoin payment is handled by BTCPay Server and settles on the public Bitcoin network; we record the invoice and its status, never a private key.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, warranty, and tax purposes. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete the account. Newsletter subscribers are removed on unsubscribe. Conversations with our internal admin assistant are purged automatically after 90 days.

Your rights

Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) gives you rights over the information we hold about you.

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Withdraw consent for marketing email at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or by emailing us.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we are required to keep.
• Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have mishandled your information.
